DCU Estates have retained the services of Maurice Johnson & Partners as Fire Safety and Accessibility Consultants on a number of their recent Estates Projects with a contract value of €1m + . The buildings on campus have included the Helix Theatre, Historic Albert College, The Hub Social Centre & The Computer Science Faculty Building. The projects were subject to an Access & Use Certificate applications with Dublin City Council and often necessitated a holistic design solution of marrying existing and historical buildings with modern day design guidance. MJP collaborated closely with DCU in deriving design solutions both sensitive and cognisant of the buildings architectural considerations.

The scope of services rendered included the following:

  • Accessibility strategy for improvement works
  • Preparation & Submission of FSC & DAC applications
